Summary

An exciting opportunity is available for an Assistant Manager based in South Croydon, Surrey. This role is ideal for someone looking to support the day-to-day running of a busy branch, working closely with the Branch Manager to ensure smooth operations, excellent customer service, and efficient coordination across the team.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support the Branch Manager in the day-to-day running of the branch
  • Handle customer enquiries and sales of products and related services
  • Respond to emails and manage incoming and outgoing telephone calls
  • Assist customers both over the phone and face-to-face
  • Process paperwork and provide general administrative support to the team
  • Check deliveries for accuracy, ensuring quantities and condition match delivery notes
  • Assist with stock handling, including some heavy lifting
  • Contribute to the overall organisation and efficiency of branch operations

Candidate Specification

  • Previous experience in a supervisory, sales, or administrative role
  • Strong sales and customer service skills
  • Good leadership and organisational abilities
  • Effective time management and ability to prioritise workload
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • IT literate with good attention to detail
  • Ability to work well within a team environment

Desirable:

  • Experience within the garage door or construction industry
