Job Description

Our client designs manufacturers and installs products for various buildings. They are currently seeking a CAD Technician to join their team; this candidate will work on challenging projects within the building industry.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Produce high-quality technical drawings for our clients products, including plans, sections, and detailed drawings, based on client-issued information, survey data, and existing drawings.
  • Create schematic diagrams required for projects.
  • Provide accurate, detailed and to scale drawings.
  • Provide drawing register and schedule that aligns with the project requirements.
  • Liaise with architects, engineers, designers, Project Managers and other relevant individual (via email or Teams meeting) to understand the design requirements.
  • Ensure all drawings comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and company protocols.
  • Confidently navigate, upload, and download project information using Common Data Environments (CDEs) such as Asite, Viewpoint for Projects (V4P), and Aconex.
  • Carry out thorough quality checks on completed drawings to identify and resolve errors or discrepancies.
  • Communicate effectively with the Team Lead, Project Managers, and clients to support timely project delivery.

Skills Required

  • Extensive knowledge in utilising AutoCAD software – 3 years + required
  • Experience with different collaborative sites (Asite, V4P, Aconex etc.)
  • Able to read Architectural / Construction drawings
  • Able to read survey data
  • Able to produce Construction drawings
  • Knowledge in building Construction materials
  • Highly detail-oriented / Attention to detail
  • CAD experience in a manufacturing environment
