Workshop Recruitment is seeking a skilled HGV Mechanic to join a well-established, family-run business operating across the South of England. This Twilight Shift role offers the opportunity to work within a supportive team maintaining a fleet of commercial vehicles and equipment to the highest safety and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out vehicle servicing, repairs, and inspections to manufacturer and DVSA standards
- Diagnose faults across mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems
- Prepare vehicles for MOT testing and maintain high pass rates
- Complete job cards and time recording accurately
- Support planned maintenance schedules across the fleet
- Ensure all work is completed safely and cost-effectively
- Travel between sites when required
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and health & safety
Skills & Experience Required
- Recognised apprenticeship in motor vehicle or plant engineering
- Experience working as an HGV Mechanic or similar role
- Strong understanding of pneumatic braking systems
- Confident carrying out electrical fault finding and repairs
- Ability to inspect vehicles to MOT standards
- Good organisation and communication skills
- Flexible attitude with willingness to learn new skills
- Full UK Driving Licence required
