Are you an organised, detail-focused logistics and shipping professional looking for your next step. We’re looking for a Logistics Coordinator to ensure the accurate, efficient flow of goods through our business — from receipt and storage to dispatch and delivery. You’ll play a key part in supporting both internal and external customers, helping us maintain a smooth and responsive supply chain operation.
Main Duties
- Manage all UK and export shipping arrangements, including preparing export documentation
- Liaise with preferred carriers and purchasing to secure the best transport rates
- Ensure prompt and accurate dispatch of all customer orders, including back orders
- Work with the Sales team to keep them informed of any delays and delivery updates
- Support improvements to goods flow and shortage resolution with the purchasing team
- Coordinate with Sales and Credit Control where customer accounts are on hold
- Oversee goods-in processes — ensuring products are booked in daily and discrepancies are investigated promptly
- Maintain an organised, efficient, and tidy department at all times
Skills and Knowledge
- Previous experience in logistics and shipping preferably international shipping/exports
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Calm and confident communicator — able to liaise with teams across the business
- Good computer literacy (knowledge of Microsoft Office and Navision preferred)
- Proactive and eager to learn, with a focus on delivering results
- Good problem-solving and negotiation skills
- Experience working with transport providers
Hours and Reward
- Competitive salary: £28,000 – £30,000 per year
- Mon-Thurs 8.00am - 4.30pm, Fri 8.00am - 1.00pm - 37 hours
