Purchasing Assistant
Aldershot

Are you organised, detail-focused, and ready to play a key role in procurement and supplier management? Our client, a dynamic and forward-thinking business, is looking for a Purchasing / Procurement Assistant to support the Purchasing Manager and help streamline processes, track metrics, and secure the best deals from suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Purchasing Manager with demand and shortfall planning
  • Process purchase orders and maintain ERP system accuracy
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to secure favourable procurement deals
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate supply needs with relevant managers
  • Support On-Time Delivery In Full (OTDIF) objectives
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports/statistics
  • Ensure compliance with quality systems, departmental KPIs, and company procedures
  • Collaborate with team members, managers, and directors across the business
  • Participate in stock cycle counts and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support other duties as required

Skills & Experience

  • Proven ERP and Microsoft Office experience
  • Previous procurement, purchasing, or supply chain support experience
  • Highly organised with strong problem-solving skills
  • Flexible, hardworking, and positive attitude
  • Excellent communication, maths, and written skills
  • Customer service-focused and a true team player

Salary and Benefits

  • £27-30K
  • 40 hours/week – Monday to Thursday 06:30–15:15, Friday 06:00–13:00 (flex available start/finish times)
  • Holiday: 33 days/year including bank holidays
